We are very proud to announce that our Head of Biology and Lead Practitioner Miss Kyriakides has been published in the Chartered College's 'Impact' magazine. Her article,  'Placing retrieval at the heart of pedagogy and the curriculum' explores how retrieval practice has been developed at DGS over the past few years and is a measured, thoughtful and coherent testament to the significant role she has had in making retrieval a 'jewel in the crown' of DGS Pedagogy. We understand that retrieval of information through quizzing and mind mapping in lessons and independently supports students to 'make their learning stick' and this has helped us embed such practices in lessons across the curriculum. 

The publication process is rigorous: an initial concept has to agreed; drafted; peer reviewed and re-drafted before reaching a point of acceptance and we are very proud of Miss Kyriakides' achievement.
