“Music is the heart and soul of the trust” was the phrase that Mr Goodenough, Head Teacher of Didcot Girls’ School, used at the end of this year’s summer concert and I cannot think of a more fitting way of summarising the outstanding dedication and commitment shown by students involved in the evening.

150 students joined together to perform a range of music, including pieces of film music that involved solo items, duets, small groups and our larger ensembles.

The quality of performance was exceptional with a significant number of individual and group successes. The engagement of students from both St Birinus and Didcot Girls’ in rehearsals is exemplary and we are very much looking forward to what September brings.
