On Thursday 27th May 2021, our Year 9 cricket 'A' team attended St Helens and Katherine's School to play their A Team in a friendly match.

The match began with DGS batting, and what a way to begin! A couple of 6's combined with a few 4's, and the girls prowess and confidence in taking the run or holding back secured them a mighty 292 runs, setting the standard high for Helens and Katherines. Helens and Katherines brought it back, but only just with some phenomenal fielding from DGS. Freya making a wonderful catch, excellent wicket keeping from Grace, and outstanding captaincy from Aimee paved the way for strong field to keep Helens and Katherines at bay.
