Goethe Institute work experience for two successful Year 11 German students
Posted on: 12/06/2019We were delighted to receive the news this week that Year 11 students Katie-Ann Pullin and Claudia Oosterveld have been selected to part of a group of just 20 students nationally to attend a week-long, all expenses paid work experience in Germany this October. The work experience is sponsored by the Goethe Institute and will take place in the picturesque town of Schwäbisch Hall.
This is a unique opportunity as the Goethe Institute will tailor the work experience to Katie and Claudia’s interests, maximising the benefit they will gain from it to help them realise their future aspirations.
Katie and Claudia have very much been the architects of their own success; they jumped at the opportunity to apply when it was presented to them and they each wrote a very compelling, heart-felt and charming application. This is a challenging thing to do in your own language, but they managed to bring all of this across writing in German! We are so pleased the Goethe Institute has recognised this and we know they will make the most of this unique experience.
