Public Speaking club attend workshop at Blenheim Palace
Posted on: 22/11/2018On Wednesday the 14th of November, we took part in the Blenheim Palace Public Speaking Workshop.
We arrived by coach in the stunning grounds of Blenheim Palace at about 11:30. Excited for what the day would bring, we met our tour guides, Ian and Peter, who took us to the Indian Room to eat lunch. We were then led on a tour of the palace and learnt interesting facts about its heritage and, of course, Winston Churchill.
After exploring this breathtaking palace and its surroundings, we took part in a workshop provided by our guides, in which we were told about the techniques Churchill used to create his famous wartime speeches, and how to present our own with confidence.
Finally, it was time to head back to our coach. We waved goodbye to the exquisite architecture and landscaping of Blenheim. Our group can’t wait to return next year for the public speaking competition!
