On the morning of Wednesday 31st January, DGS hosted the Primary School Indoor Athletics Competition, welcoming 9 local feeder schools into the Sports Hall for an exciting morning of competitive track and field events. Congratulations to All Saints Primary School who were crowned Champions!

In the afternoon, we reset the equipment ready for our Year 7s to compete in the same competition. Each tutor group entered a team; the atmosphere at the event was extremely energetic and the girls performed well. The results were as follows:

8th - 7HEA & 7KAP

The event ran ever so efficiently and this was due to the hard work of the Year 10 PE Ambassador team, who officiated the event and were fantastic motivators to all athletes competing. 

We look forward to sending a Year 7 team to the South Oxfordshire competition in March.
