Year 10 students visit Houses of Parliament
Posted on: 03/03/2025Our Year 10 Citizenship pupils had an amazing time visiting the Houses of Parliament and the Supreme Court last week. Students learnt about the fascinating and important role and work of Parliament on a tour inside the beating heart of our democracy. We visited and spent some time next to the symbolic Falkland statute, to which the Suffragettes famously chained themselves in their struggle for votes for women, and which our students proudly stood next too. After our workshop, we took a short walk to the Supreme Court, arguably the most powerful court in the UK. We even managed to sit in the historic seats where judges make their important decisions. A memorable day, on which our students made the most of it.
