DGS celebrates outstanding result for progress of GCSE students
Posted on: 13/10/2017As you may be aware, the Department for Education released provisional GCSE data earlier this week on their website. We are delighted to see that our students have done superbly well in several areas, in comparison to the national and local picture.
It gives us great pleasure to be able to report that we were placed in the top three schools in Oxfordshire for the key measure of Progress 8. This score shows how much progress pupils at this school made between the end of key stage 2 and the end of key stage 4, compared to pupils across England who got similar results at the end of key stage 2. Our Progress 8 score of 0.37 puts us in the top 18% of schools nationally. I would like to take this opportunity to once again congratulate the students who worked hard and performed so well in the GCSE examinations.
