On Tuesday 14th September, our U19 netball team attended the University of Reading to play The Abbey School in our very first fixture of 2021, and our first netball fixture for over 18 months! The team, comprised of Year 11 students: Charlotte T, Millie C, Charlotte L and Emma P, Year 12s: Rebecca A and Laura M, and Year 13s: Rosie P and Emma P, played phenomenally well! At the end of each quarter, they were ahead of the Abbey School: 4 points in the first quarter, 3 points in the second, 4 points in the third and 7 in the final quarter, with the final score of 44 - 31 to DGS, securing the team a place in the next round of the Sisters n Sport League. A smashing start to the year! Well done, girls!
