On Thursday 14th November, Lili Smith (7PJO) received the Rotary Young Citizens award. This followed a lovely lunch and awards ceremony. She has supported Be Free Young Careers with various volunteering activities in her personal time outside of school and gave a great speech to the Rotarians.

Other things Lili did to earn the award include:

• Helped at two summer family fun days, glitter tattoos, candy floss, sweet bags, setting and clearing up.

• Had a stand in the catering tent at Harwell and Hendred football tournament selling pre-made and made-to-order bracelets and sweets, from which she raised £130

• Marshalled at the Abingdon Marathon aid station (in the rain) on Milton Park. One of the runners told Lili she was their favourite marshall which made her day! In return, Abingdon marathon have made a donation to the charity.
